1.Introduction

Page Composer is a React-based layout editor for content. This policy applies to personal data we process about visitors to our marketing website, registered account holders, and end users who interact with the editor when it is embedded in a customer’s website or application.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Page-composer.com. Where we act as a processor on behalf of a customer (for example, when the editor is embedded on their site), that customer is the controller and their own privacy notice governs the processing.

2.Information we collect

We collect only the data we need to provide, secure and improve the service. The categories of personal data we may process include:

• Account email. The email address you provide when you register, sign in, or contact support, used to identify your account and communicate with you.
• Profile role & context. Optional details such as your name, job role, team size and the type of project or use case you describe, which help us tailor onboarding and support.
• Form submissions. Content you send through contact, support, demo-request or newsletter forms, including any message body and attachments you choose to include.
• Editor load telemetry. Aggregate technical metrics recorded per API key and per domain each time the editor loads — such as load counts, version, error events, performance timing and the requesting domain — used for billing accuracy, abuse prevention and reliability monitoring.
• Billing records. Subscription plan, transaction history, invoices and the partial card or payment references returned by our payment gateway. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
• Cookies & device data. Information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers and pages visited (see Section 4).

3.How we use information

We use the personal data described above to:

• Create, authenticate and administer your account.
• Provide, operate and maintain the editor and related services.
• Measure editor usage per API key and domain in order to calculate charges and enforce plan limits.
• Respond to your enquiries, support requests and form submissions.
• Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• Send service and transactional messages, and — where permitted — product updates and marketing you can opt out of at any time.
• Improve, debug and develop new features and analyze aggregate trends.
• Comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4.Cookies & similar technologies

We and our providers use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the service and understand how the site is used. We distinguish between:

• Strictly necessary cookies required for authentication, security and core functionality, which cannot be switched off.
• Preference cookies that remember choices such as theme or language.
• Analytics cookies that help us measure and improve performance, set only where permitted.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards, including:

• Payment gateway. To process subscriptions and payments securely.
• OAuth providers (Google, Microsoft). To enable single sign-on when you choose to authenticate with them.
• Email & SMTP provider. To deliver transactional and, where permitted, marketing messages.
• reCAPTCHA. To protect forms and sign-in flows from automated abuse.

We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in control of your personal data.

7.Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Account data is retained for the life of your account and deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after closure. Billing records are retained for the period required by applicable law. Aggregate editor telemetry is retained in a form that does not identify individual end users.

8.Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration — including encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege practices and regular review. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we strive to protect your data we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.International transfers

Your personal data may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live, including where our providers operate. Where we transfer data outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.

Page Composer is intended for professional and business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the service. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
